The action of cleaning the Pliva river within the project "For More Beautiful Jezero"

August 9, 2018, in the area of Jezero municipality the action was organized of cleaning the Pliva river from the settlement Ljoljići to the building of Jezero municipality. The action was organized within our project “For More Beautiful Jezero”. The action was performed by Rafting Club Kanjon, Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rafting Club Jajce, Mountaineering Association Ćusine and representatives of Jezero municipality. Except the representatives of Jezero municipality, the others participated within the regatta “Clean Vrbas”.

A greater amount of garbage was collected, and, besides cleaning, the aim was to send a message to the local authorities and local residents to understand that the Pliva river is a pearl of nature that provides enormous touristic potentials, and therefore needs to be protected and promoted for the benefit of all of us.

The municipality of Jezero organized a lunch for all participants. The main sponsor of the project was the company Coca Cola, with the support of UNDP and the Government of Japan.
