The ceremonial handover of the reconstructed elementary school "Vuk Karadžić" in Jezero

Mayor of Jezero, Snežana Ružičić held a working meeting on the  March 11, 2021 starting at 11.30 am, with the Ellen Germain, Deputy Head of Mission at the US Embassy in BiH, Brianna Powers the Director of the US Embassy in Banja Luka, and Biljana Krčmar, Assistant for Political Affairs at the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The topic of the meeting was the ceremonial handover of the reconstructed elementary school "Vuk Karadžić" in Jezero. The current cooperation and the possibilities of other types of support of the US Government towards the municipality of Jezero  was  also discussed at the meeting. After the meeting, which was  held in the Municipality building, the ceremonial handover of the reconstructed elementary school "Vuk Karadžić" in Jezero started at 12.30.

The Project for the Reconstruction of the Elementary School Vuk Karadžić Jezero was completed in September 2020, and it was funded by the US Embassy in BiH (US) Command for Europe - EUKOM), in the total amount of EUR 85,326.16 (approximately KM 170,000.00), through the US Government Humanitarian Aid Program.  The project concerned the replacementof of external and internal carpentry, a furnace for central heating and  roof reconstruction.

Mayor Snežana Ružičić thanked to the Deputy Head of Mission at the US Embassy in BiH, the Director of the US Embassy Office in Banja Luka and the Assistant for Political Affairs at the US Embassy in BiH for the visit and assistance provided by the US Government for Jezero Municipality,  hoping that good cooperation will continue in the future.
